Academic Programs
Millennium Academy's academic program – centered on language arts, mathematics & science – develops a child’s critical-thinking skills.
Other elements of our curriculum include character social studies (character development), foreign language (3 days a week), computer technology, fine arts (music, visual, drama) and physical education.
Academic Progress Measurement
Student Behavior Expectation
We believe that children must be continually given new opportunities to excel based upon their individual readiness. Therefore, Millennium Academy provides students with differentiated classroom instruction. Our students are regularly assessed and grouped by academic performance, which allows students to quickly accelerate.

Interactive Learning
Our daily lessons engage individual learning styles (audible, visual & kinesthetic). We employ state of the art technology and hands-on activities that help learning come alive for each child. An interactive environment significantly increases participation, focus and retention - which means kids are learning!
In order to maintain an environment that encourages learning and individual academic growth, we require the maintenance of good behavior. Any physical or verbal disturbance which occurs within the learning environment and which interrupts or interferes with teaching or orderly conduct of school activities is prohibited. Zero Tolerance will be in effect while on the property of our school or in those portions of any building or other structure on school grounds.
We assess our student’s academic process every eight weeks. Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled each quarter to discuss report cards and each student’s achievement portfolio. Additionally, we measure student progress using the nationally-recognized Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS). Results of the skills test can be compared to those of students around the country. The ITBS will be administered during the first quarter of school and is scored by Iowa Testing Programs.
